The Superkickers

Today Colton started soccer. It was very exciting! He is on a team with his buddy and neighbor Tyson. He has never played soccer before....however, he was in a program called soccer buddies as a 2-3 year old. In soccer buddies they played games and did soccer skills but didn't ever really play the game so this is a new adventure for us. He looked so cute in his uniform that drowns his little body. Yesterday he went with dad to Sports Authority where they  bought a soccer ball to practice with and shin guards and cleats

It took some warming up, but Colton started to get the hang of it and understand how to play by the end of the game. He definintely wasn't very aggressive with the ball....but the few times he did get the ball he ran with it.....the only problem was that he dribbled it to the wrong teams' goal. Oh well, it was so fun to watch and cheer for him. His coach Emily is really fun and nice, her daughter is on the team. Coach Emily said that Colton is a very fast runner, which he really is......now we just need to teach him to run fast with the ball towards the right goal.

GO SUPERKICKERS!!

Too, too cute!! I especially love how his uniform is WAY too big!!! I have no doubts that he will get the hang of it soon and be the star of the team! At least he can't be worse than Emrie. She played in the fall and LOVED it...because she stood in the middle of the field and talked to boys! If the ball even got close to her she would run the opposite direction. Maybe Colton can coach her for this fall!?

So cute! You got some great shots! I want to sign Madelyn up for something like that. That's awesome!
