Spring is here!!

We spent a lot of time outside last week enjoying spring. It was a beautiful week. We went to the zoo on Thursday with our friends The Allans. Here we are on the train. Ani, Colton, me and Olivia.

Checking out the elephants.

Colton had so much fun looking at the geese with their babies.

The little ones in their wagons, Maci and Livy.

The geese were out walking around with the people. Colton loved it! He followed them around.

Thursday was the perfect day at the zoo. It was the perfect temperature, even kind of cool. So all the animals were out. I thought this was so cute, the bears were cuddling.
The zebras were staring right at us.

Ani and Colton enjoying their ice cream.

Livy got some ice cream too!

Can't go to the zoo without riding the carousel.

Colton playing at the water ball in his tiger hat.

It was a fun day at the zoo!

Our puppy Tess!

Last Thursday our family drove up to Tremonton to pick up our little puppy. She is a Shih-Tzu and we named her Tess. I probably shouldn't admit that Tess is our third dog in 7 years of marriage, but the other two were big dogs. I have a hard time with big dogs in my house. Josh is a huge dog lover and I decided to give a little indoor dog a try. What really happened was my neighbor's dog Zoe, who is also a shih-tzu, kept coming to our house and playing with Colton. We all fell in love with her so we decided to find one of our own. Tess has such a sweet personality. She just follows us around the house, she's very mellow and loves to cuddle.

I found Colton and Tess on the couch like this one night. So sweet!

Colton loves to play with Tess. They are buddies. When we brought Tess home, we asked Colton what he wanted to name her and he said kneeboard. I think he must having summer and boating on his mind???? But that didn't float so we came up with Tess and sometimes Colton calls her Tessie.

My Sunshine

We wanted to get Olivia's picture taken professionally for her first birthday. We chose Peekaboo Photos because they do such a good job on little kiddos. We had a few done of her big brother also. He did a great job smiling for the camera, Livy on the other hand was a whole different story. We were lucky to get the few smiles we got. Here are some of my favorites. And there are more to come because we had retakes since we didn't get many good ones of Olivia.

BEST FRIENDS......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIVY!!!

It was Olivia's birthday on Saturday. I can't believe my baby is one! We had a fun little party to celebrate! I decided since it technically is spring, to do a flowers and bugs theme for the party. Here is a picture of her adorable flower birthday cake. It said Happy 1st Birthday on the side of it. No i didn't make it, I know a very talented lady who does the cutest cakes, and they taste as good as they look.
This is Olivia's own little cake, with the cute caterpillar on it. We were hoping she would dig into it and make a big mess, but she barely touched it.

Livy with grandma Robin, Josh's mom.

Livy with grandma Ann , my mom. Livy is wearing the cupcake bib that says birthday girl on it that grandma Ann brought for her to wear.

Colton was very excited for the birthday party! He had a lot of fun playing with these balloons.

Best buddies!!

Olivia had fun opening her gifts. She got books, hair clips, a music box, lots of cute clothes and pajamas and a pair of shoes.

She got this cute homemade hat from Presley, my friend Britt's little girl.

It was pretty funny, grandma Robin and grandpa Craig got Olivia the same thing Josh and I got her. It is this little stroller/walker and baby's 1st doll. It is supposed to help her learn to walk. She is very close to walking. She absolutely loves this stroller, she walks all over the place with it. She loves the little doll too, she hugs it and kisses it. It's so cute!

This is about as much as she touched her cake. She poked it a couple times, but that's about it. The rest of us enjoyed it thoroughly.

Grandpa Kelly and Liv.

Livy walks really well as long as you hold her hands.

Lisa, my dad's fiance', me and Livy, and my dad.

Livy, me and grandma.
Aunt Natalie missed the party because she had to work. But she stopped by after work to see Livy and give her a present.

It was a great day! Mainly because we had our friends and family over celebrating with us. Thanks everybody who came. We love you!
