Christmas Eve

It's a Christmas Eve tradition to go to Josh's parents' house for a yummy prime rib dinner. All of Josh's siblings and their families come, which makes it really fun. Colton and Olivia have five cousins now. The family is growing rapidly and each new addition is so much fun. Here are a bunch of the kids dancing and singing Christmas songs after dinner.
It's also tradition, that after dinner, we have a little Christmas program where each family shares a musical talent or reads a Christmas story, etc. Grandpa Putnam's wife Deona brought her accordian and played fun Christmas songs like Jingle Bells. The kids loved this and danced around. Grandma even danced too.
Josh played Silent Night with his dad accompanying him. It's the one time of year we can get him to play. He did a really good job. It was beautiful.

All the grandkids got to open one present. Here's Colton with his new Sesame Street walkie talkies.

Here is Livy opening up her present.

YAY! Olivia got baby Elmo!!

Livy playing with all her toys.

Jamie, Josh's sister ,had her little girl in November. This is Wynter Alice.

Grandma, Grandpa, Colton and Emrie.

We also played a white elephant game, except with really good presents not white elephant gifts. I ended up with a really pretty water container and josh ended up with a clock and thermostat that projects onto the ceiling of our bedroom so you can see the time in the night without even lifting your head off the pillow. We love them both. Later that night we went home and each opened our Christmas eve p.j.'s and read some Christmas stories. We also set out milk and cookies for Santa and even put carrots out for the reindeer. My sister-in-law, Whitney, made our family a cute milk and cookies plate with her vinyl lettering machine. It was a great Christmas eve!
